A new program
|
Hi, I'm the Rat and I'll guide you through this page.
Bridges is a new program that started this year(1999-2000) at John Rennie High School. The program was made to teach students what the work force is like. It is only for students in grades 10 and 11. In it, we go to school for class for 3 and a half days a week. The other day and a half we are working in a job. For our work we do not get paid by money, but by credits. Sounds like a rip off but it is good for the students who were on the verge of droping out. I was one of those students. Also having the job gives us experience. The classes are alot more fun than the regular curriculum, and a bit easier with more attention from our teachers.

At this present moment we have 3 teachers, and someone who helps organize the working program. Chris, teaches us French, Math and English. Mr.Sullivan teaches us Science, and Oren teaches us History. Carola is the woman responsible for getting us all our jobs, and she is in charge of other stuff. I would like to thank you guys for devoting your time to us, and the help you're doing. I would also like to thank the rest of the staff of John Rennie for all your support to us. And last but not least I would like to thank our 3 Principals, Mr.Murray, Mr.Morrison, and Mr.Wadsworth who can't be with us right now.

There are presently 13 students in the class. They are Chris, Bill, Kristi, Laura, Jay, Mel, Krystine, Sara, Dustin, Derek, Lara, Jeff, and myself(Dan).
